Privacy policy
Last updated 21 October 2026.
Who we are
Operating System runs this website, operatingsystem.co.in, and BusinessOS at business.operatingsystem.co.in, where each customer's operating system lives. In this policy, "we" means Operating System. You can reach us through the request form.
Two kinds of information
Information about you, such as the details you send in a request or the account you sign in with. We decide how this is used, and this policy covers it.
Your company's records, such as the customers, deals, numbers and people a company keeps in its OS. These belong to that company. We hold and process them only to run its OS, as the company instructs, and the company decides who sees them.
People a company's AI sales team researches
When a company switches on its AI sales team, the team looks for businesses that fit that company's ideal customer and adds them, with the people it may want to contact, to that company's OS. These are that company's records: the company decides who to research and contact, and it is responsible for doing so lawfully.
- The AI sales team uses public sources, such as news, company websites, careers pages and public tender notices, and the tools the company connects. It never collects private LinkedIn data and never uses bought or scraped lists.
- Every detail it adds records where it came from, and a contact detail is marked verified only once it has been checked.
- Nothing is sent until a person at that company approves it, and each company's suppression list applies to every message.
If you were contacted by a company that uses Operating System and want it to stop, or want to know what it holds about you, tell that company. If you can't reach it, contact us through the request form and we'll pass your request on.
What we collect
- When you request an OS: your name, work email, company, website, what you tell us about how your company works, what you'd like it to run first, team size and stage.
- When you have an account: your name, email address, how you sign in (email and password, or Google), and records of sign-ins and of what you change, which your company's audit log keeps.
- When you visit: basic technical information our hosting provider records, such as pages visited, the referring site, device type and approximate country.
We don't sell information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Why we use it
- To reply to your request and plan your OS, with your consent when you send the form.
- To provide the service: building your OS, signing you in, and running it day to day.
- To keep the service secure, and to meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
Only the providers we need to run the service, each for its part:
- Lovable and Supabase, which host the website, the app and its database.
- Anthropic, when the AI features are used. The AI receives the context needed to answer; a company can connect its own Claude key instead.
- Email providers, when the service sends email for you or your company.
We may also share information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Requests that don't become a customer: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Accounts: for as long as the account exists.
- A company's records: until the company deletes its OS or the service ends. Copies in our hosting provider's backups are removed as those backups expire.
Keeping it safe
Each company's OS is separated from every other by the database itself, our team has no standing access, and keys are kept in an encrypted vault. The security page explains how, and where the limits are.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a summary of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, withdraw consent you have given, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance. Contact us through the request form. If your information is in a company's OS, we'll pass your request to that company, which decides on its own records.
Children
Operating System is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes we'll tell account holders by email.
